  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans (drained, not rinsed)
  • 2 cups broth (beef, chicken, or vegetable) plus more as needed

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add diced onions and sauté until soft. Stir in cumin, chili powder, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, and broth to create the chili base.
