  • 1/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 Oreos (chopped plus more for topping)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. For the cookie layer, cream together the butter and sugars until smooth. Add egg yolk and vanilla; mix well. Fold in flour, salt, baking soda, and chopped Oreos.
  3. For the brownie layer, melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth. In another bowl, whisk sugar, egg, and vanilla until fluffy, then combine with the melted chocolate mixture. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  4. Alternate spoonfuls of cookie dough and brownie batter in the prepared pan. Sprinkle with additional Oreos on top.
