  • 1 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
  • ½ tsp sea salt (divided)
  • ⅛ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme leaves
  • ⅓ cup chicken broth
  • 3 ounces cream cheese (softened)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the chicken in oil for about 5 to 7 minutes per side until browned. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and cook turkey bacon until slightly browned.
  3. Add butter; once melted, stir in garlic and mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms are browned.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, add thyme, and remaining salt; stir well.
  5. Increase heat to medium-high until bubbling occurs, then add cream cheese, stirring until melted and sauce thickens.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan, cover, and simmer on low for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until cooked through.
