  • 2 c. water + juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter, creamy and natural (or sunflower seed butter for nut free option)
  • 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • Cacao nibs
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Granola
  • Chopped nuts or seeds

Instructions

  1. Cut small circles out in the middle of each apple slice to create donut shapes.
  2. Soak the apple rings in the water and lemon juice mixture for about 5-10 minutes. This helps to keep them fresh and adds a zesty flavor.
  3. After soaking, pat each apple ring dry completely with a paper towel.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and cocoa powder.
  5. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well combined.
  6. Slather the peanut butter mixture generously over each apple slice.
  7. Top with your choice of rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, cacao nibs, mini chocolate chips, granola, or chopped nuts/seeds for added texture and flavor.
