  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp (8.5 g) sugar
  • 1 tbsp (8.5 g) salt
  • 1 1/3 cup (315 ml) oil
  • 8 cups (1 kg) flour + a little more for rolling dough out
  • 2 cups (250 g) feta cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sesame seeds
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten slightly
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large mug, combine warm milk with yeast and sugar; let it foam for 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, beat eggs and mix in oil. Add the foamy yeast mixture along with remaining milk and salt; stir well.
  3. Gradually incorporate flour until dough forms; knead until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise in a warm area for 30 minutes.
  5. Divide dough into five pieces; roll each piece into thin circles and cut into triangles.
  6. Mix feta cheese with salt for filling; roll each triangle from the wider end to form crescents.
  7. Place on a baking sheet to rise again for 20-30 minutes. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds before baking at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown.
