  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup finely ground almond flour
  • ⅓ cup sliced almonds
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease an 8” cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer for two minutes; then add vanilla, almond extracts, and whisked eggs.
  4. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients until just combined; gently fold in almond flour.
  5. Transfer batter to the prepared pan and top with sliced almonds.
  6. Bake for 28–35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Prepare honey syrup by heating honey and water until combined; pour over the warm cake after cooling for 20 minutes.
