  • 1/4 cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Light brown sugar (packed)
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Red gel food coloring
  • 1/4 cup Oreo cookie crumbs (about 3 Oreo cookies)
  • 6 Crushed Oreo cookie pieces (6 Oreo cookies blended into bite-sized pieces, plus more for topping)
  • 3/4 cup Semisweet chocolate chips (plus more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and let it cool.
  2. Blend 3 Oreos into fine crumbs.
  3. Mix flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  4. In a mixer, combine melted butter with sugars until creamy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla and food coloring.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and oreo pieces.
  6. Chill dough for 3 hours before scooping into balls.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake cookies for 12–14 minutes.
