  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime juice (to finish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink; remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet; simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce; simmer for another minute.
  6. Add chopped pineapple and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Finish with sesame oil and lime juice; sprinkle with cilantro before serving.
