  • 8 oz cream cheese (at room temp)
  • ¼ cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment paper and spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup granulated white sugar, ½ cup all-purpose flour, ½ cup cocoa powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon baking powder. Mix well.
  3. Add 2 large eggs, ⅓ cup vegetable oil, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, beat 8 oz softened cream cheese with ¼ cup granulated white sugar, 1 large egg, and ½ teaspoon vanilla until creamy. Add orange food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Spoon dollops of cream cheese mixture over it, then add remaining brownie batter on top. Swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Cool before cutting into squares.
