  • 3 tbsp potato starch
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp neutral oil for frying
  • 8 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 stalks green onion (green and white parts separated)
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock (sub: water & chicken bouillon)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Green onion (green part) for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing chicken stock, honey, rice vinegar, dark soy sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl.
  2. Dry the chicken thighs and coat them in a mixture of potato starch, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  4. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and green onion until fragrant. Add the prepared sauce and let it thicken slightly.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan, coating it well with the sauce, then serve with your favorite sides.
