  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candy-coated chocolates (like Easter M&Ms)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and half of the candy-coated chocolates.
  7. Scoop dollops of dough onto prepared baking sheets, pressing remaining candies on top for decoration.
  8. Bake for about 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden while centers remain soft.
  9. Allow to cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
