Crispy Baked Cauliflower Steaks are a flavorful and satisfying dish that transforms the humble cauliflower into an impressive main or side. Perfectly seasoned with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and herbs, these steaks boast a delightful crispy texture on the outside while remaining tender inside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Large Head of Cauliflower
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Optional: Red Pepper Flakes (for heat)
  • Optional: Fresh Parsley or Chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove outer leaves from the cauliflower head and trim the bottom stem slightly.
  3. Place the cauliflower stem-side down and cut into two thick 'steaks' about 1-inch thick.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with the seasoning mixture.
  6. Arrange the steaks on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown; check tenderness with a fork.
