  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Fry the Capers: Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add drained capers and cover; cook for about 5 minutes until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic; sauté until soft.
  3. Create Broth Base: Pour in chicken broth and apple vinegar. Season with salt and pepper, then bring to a boil. Stir in Parmesan cheese and light cream; simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  4. Add Orzo & Chicken: Uncover and stir in orzo, chicken, lemon zest, and juice. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes until orzo is tender.
