Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g fettuccine or linguine
  • 250g shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 tbsp butter (for shrimp)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste
  • Steamed broccoli (for serving)
  • Garlic toast (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Add fettuccine or linguine and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the shrimp: Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of butter. Sauté shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, melt another tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream; let simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  4. Combine: Add cooked pasta to the skillet with Alfredo sauce, mixing well to coat evenly. Fold in sautéed shrimp gently.
  5. Serve: Plate generously, adding sides of steamed broccoli and garlic toast.
