Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp blackened seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken breasts with blackened seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through. Transfer to a plate to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic in melted butter for about 1 minute. Add chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, then stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Toss cooked linguine into the sauce until well coated; add reserved pasta water if necessary.
  5. Slice the rested chicken and serve over the pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.
