  • 1.5 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 1 Yellow Onion, chopped
  • 1 ounce Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 2 ½ cups Biscuit Mix (like Bisquick)
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces Diced Green Chiles
  • 1 ½ cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onions and red bell pepper to the skillet; cook until softened. Stir in taco seasoning.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine biscuit mix and water to form dough. Press into a greased casserole dish and bake for 5-8 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Spread the cooked beef mixture over the biscuit base.
  6. In another bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, green chiles, garlic powder, and cheese; spread over the beef layer.
  7. Top with salsa and remaining cheese before baking for an additional 30 minutes until bubbly.
