  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 12 ounces bowtie pasta
  • Olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3 tablespoons flat leaf parsley (chopped + more for serving)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a bowl, mix spices for the Cajun seasoning. Coat shrimp with olive oil and seasoning.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat; cook shrimp until curled (1-2 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  4. Sauté diced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet until soft; add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  5. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle boil; stir in chopped parsley and return shrimp to the skillet.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with sauce in the skillet; use reserved pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
