- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the diced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 4-5 minutes until apples soften.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Add this slurry to the apple mixture and cook for another 1-2 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits.
- Flatten each biscuit using your hands or a rolling pin to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Place a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each flattened biscuit.
