Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 4-5 minutes until apples soften.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  4. Add this slurry to the apple mixture and cook for another 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits.
  8. Flatten each biscuit using your hands or a rolling pin to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  9. Place a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each flattened biscuit.
  10. Fold over the edges of the dough around the filling and pinch them together to seal completely.
  11. Dip each sealed dough ball into melted butter.
  12. Roll each ball in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon until fully coated.
  13. Place seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet.
  14. Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  15. Allow cooling for a few minutes before serving warm for maximum flavor enjoyment!
