  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1012 mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes (as needed)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar. Heat over medium-high until boiling, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 minute.
  2. Remove from heat, strain the tea into a measuring cup or pitcher, and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
